The Thurgau Economic Development Office is your competent contact point with a wide support network for dealing with your questions and needs. In addition, you may qualify for financial assistance from the canton or other institutions. The latter possibility, however, is reserved for projects of exceptional economic benefit.

Support measures for which you may be eligible:

• Tax relief: This is possible in certain circumstances.
• Sureties and guarantees: These are facilitated by the Bürgschaftsgenossenschaft Ost (=Swiss Guarantee Cooperative East), an institution for the promotion of efficient small and medium-sized enterprises.
• Job market measures: Companies and jobseekers alike are supported with measures for dealing with a wide variety of unemployment-related issues.
• Export risk insurance: Export-oriented companies can insure against the economic and political risks associated with the export business with Swiss Export Risk Insurance (SERV).
